Palace Of Illusion

I came to Redmond 4 years ago just after finishing my college. I joined my first job and started my independent life. I learnt all real life fundaes, started taking decisions by my own, started finding rules of my life, started managing my own finances etc. It is like I found my own small world in this evergreen state.

I met Abhas, got married and started my married life here. We set up or little home. I do not know, when do I started feeling more homely here than in Indore.

Now, while going back, I sometime get confused whether I am going home or I am going away from MY home. I feel like this is my "Palace of illusions", which I will always miss my whole life.

  3. This is not an illusion Sapna, you are actually going away from home. I think abhi bhi chance hai, reconsider!! We will also get you back all the sold stuff.

  4. I like Ankur's comment a lot :)

I read your post on the day you posted it, but then felt so sentimental that I didn't know what to post.

I guess each place we go, we leave a little bit of ourselves behind. Its not one home anymore, its many homes ...

All the best for new beginnings and lots of love ...

  6. Stumbled across this blog . I'm also from India .. joined Redmond in Oct 2007 and returned after one shipping cycle in Feb 2010 . Joined a year after college . Redmond was the first time I did things like planning finances , buying a car , doing so much stuff on my own in a foreign country . Am now trying to do something of my own , but the memories of that green , misty city will always remain .
After stumbling across your note and how you put it across , I've read it at least thrice and feeling somewhat nostalgic .
On the other hand , I always wanted to try something of my own so this is fun too. Guess we can't always have the best of everything :(
